A cellular, molecular and spatial analysis of post-mortem lung tissue from COVID19 Introduction to Full Spectrum flow cytometry
Flow Cytometry Core Head, Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, Oeiras, Portugal
Abstract
In the last 6 years, full spectrum flow cytometry has gone from a novel concept to a mainstream widely adapted technology now accessible to any lab. Though the full capabilities and limitations of this technology are still debatable, the quality of the data produced using full spectrum flow cytometry has shown to be as good or better than when using classical flow cytometry. In this brief talk, I will introduce the main features of full spectrum flow cytometry, covering the main similarities and differences with classical flow cytometry, as well as some of the unique potential capabilities that this new technology can offer, including high-dimensional analysis and autofluorescence detection.
